Jun. 27, 2024  03:58

AsianFin--Microsoft announced that it would maintain its provision of OpenAI's artificial intelligence (AI) models to customers in Hong Kong via its Azure cloud computing platform. This comes after OpenAI revealed plans to restrict access to its services from unsupported regions, including Chinese mainland and Hong Kong.

In a statement posted on Thursday, Microsoft's local office confirmed, "There has been no change to our Azure OpenAI service offerings in Hong Kong. We continue to provide access to eligible customers in Hong Kong through models deployed in regions outside Hong Kong."
