Micron Secures $6.1 Billion U.S. Government Grant to Expand Chipmaking Capacity

AsianFin—U.S. President Joe Biden  will announce $6.1 billion in federal funding for Micron Technology on Thursday to boost the production of advanced memory computer chips. 

The funding will help with the construction of two new Micron facilities in Clay, New York, and one new facility in Boise, Idaho. The president will make the trip to Syracuse, New York on Thursday to make the announcement.
